What is the best top line XJ ever made and why

    My input for my situation. I ride 2 up in 95% of the time and my xj 1100 is right up there.... Its a real beast with 2 people plus gear .

    Have to agree with Bigfits in this case only if they were available to us XJR1300

    Went to fuel injection in 2007. I had a look at a new black one at the local Yamaha dealer. Wow, what a bike. About $14000 Australian. The Ohlins piggyback shocks are standard. Could do with an aftermarket muffler to let out a bit of sound.

    Is the XJR not available in the U.S?

    Nope. Ours have lots of plastic and can even come with an automatic transmission; you don't get to see the motor either. Two wheeled cars.

    I still like the '05 better because I really love the symmetry of twin mufflers; a 4-1 always looks lopsided (except the Honda 400-four.)

    No matter what the year, it's still a REAL motorcycle. Apparently we don't deserve such things.
