I think I would love to get the brand new Kawasaki Z1000, It may not be a Yamaha, but i just love that street fighter look and the fact that it has torque.

OK one more try... For those not wanting to back up in the thread... This is a concept CB1100F from the Tokyo Auto Show. Sorry it's not a Yamaha but I'm a Honda guy by day and I can't just ignore something like this when it comes along.

Right there with you, and I think it's OK because Yamaha doesn't have an equivalent. Start saving your pennies, though, because Honda made it official - it'll be in US showrooms in '09.

I think I'd try a Ural with a sidecar, unless I could afford a genuine WW2 motorcycle with sidecar (with a machine gun mounted for the rider in the side car).

Years ago, I owned a Hodaka that very occasionally took off backwards when the clutch lever was released. That was always good for a brisk change of pace. It livened up an off-road ride for all the particpants (and some of the spectators, too)! If I could find one of those "brand new" I'd get one of them.

    I bought mine:

I just want reliable simplicity. No plumbing, no anti-freeze. The only think I miss on my Warrior is the shaft-drive.

Yamaha's have always been reliable. Harley's have always been simple. Now I have both.

My very next bike will be choosing an FZ1 or VFR. Maybe even the FZ6R.

If I some how strike it rich or later on down the road I'll be looking at the FJR1300, Connie 14, or a Moto Guzzi. Probably a Norge or a Breva. I also like the BWM K1200GT and the F800ST.

Since Kawasaki finally updated their Concours design, I think it would be a top contender.

Indian Chief would look good at my house. I'd take a new one or a restored original.
