BIG motor, decent compression...seems to me with a good flowing exhaust and good intake she should be able to put down over 100 to the wheel. Any experience?

Hi Makenzie, back in 1999 at the Laughlin River Run bike event, I dyno'd my 82' Maxim XJ1100. At the time it still had the stock dual exhaust, the crossover pipe between the 2 mufflers didn't connect real well, but was basically the stock exhaust. The only change was I had seperate air filters on it and had removed the stock airbox and had tuned the carbs to run well with the setup.

I edited my dyno run info along with 2 of the dyno charts information I took off the XS/XJ owners club site for 2 different year XS11's, a 78' & 79'. You can see I greatly picked up torque over their numbers at a much earlier rpm, both in Torque and in horsepower I picked up about 10 figures over stock.
I'd also ran my bike once down the quarter mile in Phoenix and posted a 12.91 ET at 104mph, I'm also quite big at 6'3 & 215lbs, but have been dragracing bikes for 21 years so I am very good at it.

Some years ago I found a very nice old Kerker 4 into 1 on a wrecked XJ in a yard, this pipe is long since unavailable from Kerker, and I have never dyno'd to see what improvement the pipe may have given it. But it sure sounds good. Anyway the 1100 is well under 100 HP.

I posted links below you can look at them.

I've been a Yamaha nut for years, I have had many Seca 750's, Vmax, FJ1200, FZR1000's and have information on all these as well as original factory brochure's on many.
    I hope this helped.
