Whats up all? some questions on my 82 xj550 maxim

Hey, this is my first bike ever, bought for $650 and i love it, but i have a problem...

Ok, Part of my throttle line is broke. I'm no mechanic so i'll try my best to explain.

the line that goes to the throttle, it goes from the throttle to down under the seat about 3 inches from the carb it connects to to run the bike. that last 3 inches or so their is a second line that basically just connects the main throttle line to the carb. it looks to act as some sort of device that just angles the throttle line to the carb. it's not covered in rubber.

it broke in half. where can i order one from and what is it's actual name.

Hmmm. This is the piece that holds the throttle cable jacket? If so, it should be attached to the body or rails of the carburetor. Maybe a picture would help.

Did you ask yamaha? Yamaha has a pretty good parts catalog on their website so that you should be able to get a name for the part and even a part number. That would help a dealer figure out what it is. I would also call a local motorcycle junkyard and check ebay. If you are real lucky, someone on this website may have one.

I have my carbs off to replace some seals and orings, so the picture is of only one carb without the mounting rails and just kinda stuck into position.
Hopefully this will help you identify which part your talking about!

The inner and outer parts come as one.
The part# is 5K5-26311-00-00
