My 1100 has a cracked pipe right at the muffler on the Left side. I found a RH outer pipe on e-bay and replaced that one.

The Left side has been welded once already and is cracked again. Anyone know why this is a problem and is there a good repair or mod that can be done to get this to stop?

Only reasons that I have ever tripped across for Any ex pipe cracking was that the motor was rocking and the ex was firmly mounted.
    Something has to give.
Find what is 'moving' and what is not... then fix it... and it's Job done.

I'd have to say it's because of the expansion and contraction from heat. Something has to give and that's probably the weakest spot for it to happen.
Instead of welding the crack problem, I'd make it a male/female connection (one pipe inside the other) so there is some give in the system for it to expand whe it gets hot.
Your going to have that same problem until your pipes are full of ugly weld marks eventually. Something's gotta give.
