Ok, i've winterized my bike (put in wonder oil in pistons, put in fuel stabilizer) and had all the oil removed to replace springs on my gear changer mechanism.

My question is, since i drained out all the oil to change my gear changer springs, do i need to refill it since it's jsut going to pool at the bottom?

Theoratically, shouldn't it not matter? since the oil has cycled through the engine previously prior to me draining the oil out. i also put in a few drops of wonder oil in the pistons. the only variable is that the new springs in my gear changer might rust in the next 3 months?

I think he means shifter mousetrap springs. But the answer is still the same, store the bike with oil in it.
