Wanted XJ 650 Seca Fuel Tank

I recently purchased a maxim 750 tank and don't like the way it sits on my 650. I'm looking to buy or trade for a Seca 650 tank. The tank I have is in excellent condition no dents and no rust.

 

I am not sure but don't think a Seca tank will fit on a Maxim. If you use the search function there is a listing of what tank fits what bikes/frames. It is a sticky thread by Dave "Hogfiddles" Fox. You can be sure he has test fit everything on the list to confirm or deny fitment.

Thanks, ill look into it. I think it was mentioned he tried the fit but didnt give the results. Anyhow the shop I went to today also had a 650 seca tank kicking around. Might go back and bring the bike so I can test fit it. Minor fabrications are okay.

There is a picture of a 650rj tank on a 650 maxim,that is current under reassembly, just before the last entry of “650rj on 900rk”. There is only one pic at this point, but there is more Critical information much farther back up nearer the top of the forum
