I have a stack of engines right now.....shipping would be a killer

 

We need to find a long haul driver that will grab stuff on the side for us. Or a band roady that will load the coach.

I’ve used fastenal in the past for larger freight items. I’d still be scared to see the price for shipping a pallet with a motor. If you had an exact weight, which I’m sure it’s on the forum here somewhere, an interested person can get a cost. That bears in mind that your friend is willing to do all that work as well for prep and getting it to fastenal. That’s the only national chain I am aware of that’ll accept private individuals merch. and ship with their freight trucks from store to store

 

Another member did do cross- country hauling and moved stuff for me on trips, but his job has changed and I rarely hear from him anymore. Another member travels through now and then and we have been able to make arrangements depending on timing.

I don't know anyone heading south right now though

 

or a bunch of members willing to drive a leg of the trip

This was a post from November last year. I’m sure there are memebera here tho that do have extra carb sets they’d sell, Either rebuilt already or in need of rebuilding. Just ask. There’s a great group of people here willing to help out!!!

I need to do a carb rebuild I’m pretty sure, it’s a 1985 Maxim 700cc air cooled.
