Hi, I am rebuilding the top end of my 750seca, PO made a lot of misstakes that I found out when I removed the head cover, but anyways...

    Got a few questions :

    1) There are some scratches and tiny pitting on the mating surface, (see pictures) the one pitting I'm most worried about is in the camchain area. I'm trying to find a machinist ruler to check for warping, in the meantime, my question is, if there's no warping, does those scratches and pitting would require resurfacing?

    2) I was reading older posts on here (2006 and more) and seen members were using copper spray for the head gasket, done some reaearch online and it seem like theres no consensus on this, although it seem like it is not good for modern gaskets, but was good for old engines with single layer gaskets. Could it help with the pitting/scratches? I'll attach a picture of the new gasket I have.

    3) On the long studs for the cylinder block, the "hose" are all cracked and dirty, does it needs to be replaced? Or removal of hose and cleaning of studs is fine?

    Thanks!
