HCP455 OEM right side handlebar CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY, contains the STOP-RUN-STOP switch, the pushbutton start switch, and the electrical lead wiring harness with terminal end connector. Correct low-gloss black finsh. The throttle cable end and the throttle tube actuating slot will end up "living" inside this switch housing, but are not included. Brand new.

HCP455VGU OEM right side CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY, contains the STOP-RUN-STOP switch and the pushbutton start switch, good used condition. The throttle cable and throttle tube actuatung end will end up "living" inside this switch housing, but are not included. NOTE: used switches normally require complete internal switch cleaning of all electrical contacts in order to function properly....not overly difficult to do, but somewhat time consuming. Red "pointer" on the STOP-RUN-STOP switch is missing.

You can install the complete cooler assembly from the adapter plate up to the cooler from a Seca Turbo.

I have another solution I am prototyping. I'll PM you.

 

Christmas came early at my place today. A fine box of parts showed up from XJ4Ever. Thanks Len! I don't know what to do first... Who am I kidding? That shiny chrome gas cap will be first.

I am looking for a gas tank for my 1983 Maxim XJ750. I got a pretty good dent in mine after a windstorm. Not sure if it's able to be fixed.

Tankless in Oregon.

Before I order the reservoir coolant tank from you, i have a question about handlebar grips. I have a new pair that are billet aluminum, but there doesn't seem to be any throttle sleeve. Is this someting I need to buy? The basket case I inherited had missing grips so I don't know if there is an extra sleeve needed on the throttle side. Thanks for all you do...you rule!

 

Hey Johno, yes, the right side grip goes over a plastic throttle "tube" that rotates freely against the handlebar sirface, and is "captured" on its end by the control switch assembly. This same end of the throttle tube has the capture slot for the throttle cable. The tube has a black plastic washer that fits over its end, in-between the handlebar grip and the control switch and prevents excessive wear of the side of the control switch. I do have these items in stock:

HCP7372GCU OEM throttle TUBE, good used condition, for all '82-3 750 Seca models, and all XJ700 models.

Holy Crap Chacal! My Parts were here in full as expected. The tank is Beautiful! For those of you reading this, I ordered over 700.00 in parts to add to a total of over 70 parts many of which were very hard to find. Every part thus far (over 60) has been exact and are now in hand. (thats alot of room for error).

I have spent entire summers pre-paying for some of these parts locally only to find out by the end of the season that the shops could not (would not?) locate the parts and here I took a shot at this and BAM! there there are! Incredible to be honest.

I absolutely love this forum and the people that make it up. It has been an invaluable resource for me in keeping the faith with this old XJ seca 750 of mine. Since I have had such a great experience with the help of the folks that make up this forum, I have decided that i am fully committed to documenting my work to share as much as I can with others (and I know I have at least 1 significant contribution to make with the current stage of my restoration project). Thank you for your mountain load of help so far Chacal and a major Thank you to our community!

Hello Len. Just a quick bump to let you know that my intake boots, gaskets, and bolts arrived safely, and Don and I just installed them this afternoon. One of the old bolts was a bit stubborn, but we managed to get them all out without breaking any. (YAY!) I used the new bolts anyway, just because. Thank you for your service, and props to Gamuru for being a good wrench and a nice guy.
