New here, and was skeptical about this Chacal dude. Well, turns out he's all right. I ordered pilot jets and got a quick turnaround. Nicely done. The only regret I have is that I didn't buy my other crap from him.

Carlton, yep, I checked all the other K&N filters, and they are white also, it seems that K&N changed the color they painted these somewhere along the way and I didn't catch that.........I'll update the info to reflect the "sore thumb" issue and recommend a can of spray paint!

I just got my shipment in yesterday, and in record time... I ordered it late Tuesday afternoon, and it was here Friday!

It's been a lot of fun installing the new airbox (had to partially drop the engine, remove the exhaust pipes, remove the battery/battery box, remove the tank/carbs) and prepare the valve cover with a new gasket. I'll be checking the valves today and will no doubt be ordering new shims very soon if some are out of spec for the first time ever.

Any help with an 82 XJ750 grab bar with aluminum supports. Whoever had the bike before me put a backrest assy on and took off everything.

RKDUB....I have the aluminum side rails only for the 1982 XJ750 Maxim.....but I do not have the connector bridge piece in-between the two.

 

Heck that's better than what I have. Which is nada right now. I'll PM ya for details.

 

All arrived in better shape than I thought I was going to get. I will most definitely be a return customer here. Speaking of which...........A battery sending unit? Just about had it with the idiot light.

hey i found a guy manufacturing those in wisconsin have to look through my emails and find his name again. they look ok but not facctory lookin. they are hand made i believe and fit into a non screw in battery. push in type will owrk. if ya need a link PM me and i will go throught he mails and get it to ya

hi looking for the wire loom for a xj700, do you have one? if so howmuch to ship to the uk?

 

Parts got to my door in 3 days and I got to fire up my Seca again today for the first time in a while.

Screw-on oil filter conversion kit was simple to install and so far seems to be working great. Chacal: Did you design the parts yourself and place orders with a machine shop? It's a pretty slick design... those slots for the special tool are a bit weak but they have to be there... I'm glad there was a warning and I would say following the torque specs would be very helpful. Overall, a great product and will make my life easier in the long run with the bike!

Ordered my Spin on filter adapter kit for my 1983 xj750 on Wednesday Sept. 23, 2009 and recieved it in the mail on Saturday Sept. 26. 2009.
I had to grind off the bolt on the housing to take off the original filter,
but the adapter kit went on easy.
Len answers my e-mails also.

Holy smokin' super fast shipping Len,

Parts sent on the 19th, received on the 25th, up here in Ottawa, Ontario..... i took a personal day off work friday, sitting around playing with my 15 month old and ding dong at the door, there is a package, first response was no way... couldn't be.... but oh it was.... i was hoping to get it by this coming friday and start working on the bike this saturday, well, now i have almost everything in place, and by this saturday i should have the tune up done... Thanks Len

Oh and for those fellow northern riders..... i checked with 3 local parts shops for prices (sorry Len, had to check) and found out that even with the US to CAD currency exchange rates and the 18% duty tax that MAY be added at customs, Len's (Chacal) price beat them by $20-$30CAD. For me customs was kind and didn't tag me for anything....

So for anyone reading this.... I will be doing all my future ordering thru Chacal....
