Hi Chacal. Just picked up a 1982 XS400J Maxim for my wife. It is a project bike so will probably be bugging you for some parts soon. I know it is technically not a model that you support. But I think that lots of the 1982 / 83 XJ parts would fit.

 

Chacal, the parts did the trick. While she still needs some tuning, she's purring again. Thanks!

"One of my neighbors accuired a 85 xj700, The carbs needed a good cleaning as the bike sat for some time. The jets needed a good bit of help to come out, and now the bike needs new jets (Due to the help required to remove them). Do you have any in stock or know of any other jets that would work? The bike currently has stock exhaust/aircleaner. Any help is this matter would be greatly appreciated.I personally deal with sport bikes, so im not very familiar with the bike. Thanks"

TimetoRide....I don't recall getting that request from you, did you ever get a reply from me? Let me know what you mean by a "fuel rebuild kit" and also, the caliper rebuild kits differ between a 750 Seca nd 750 Maxim, so let me know which one you are seeking.

 

Sent 2 PM's actually. The calipers are off a '83 Seca, and I will put them on a '81 Seca if that will work, after the rebuild.
'81 Seca fuel petcock- - I want the less expensive, aftermarket kit.

Do you have a brake master cylinder available for my 82 XJ650 Maxim... or any master cylinders from any other bike that might work on mine. Or maybe even a rebuild kit. Thanks, I need something ASAP. It's hard to ride with no front brakes, lol

Do you also have an appropriate sized jet kit available for the same bike? All I have done is installed pod filters and strait, home made, unrestricted exhaust - stock diameter.

I also need new seals for the carb diaphrams, or if you sell a rebuild kit.

Bought some cable splicers for my spark plug wires after reading about them in the forums. They were here in two days!

His price was cheaper than other places I found on the Web, plus he shot back a *fast* response to my installation questions.

You gave me a quote last week on a spin on oil filter kit. I'm ready to add an aftermarket air filter to that. I think its HCP1219, $14. I should also replace my fuel lines as well and add an inline filter. I'm not exactly sure what I need for this but I'm sure you do. Length? size? The cheaper the better, or, I sould say the less expensive the better.

If you could PM me with quotes on this stuff I will get an order into you this week.

My prayer is that at some point you could find the time and create a real website that would make browsing and ordering a little easier. But until then this works.
