XJ1100 Battery sender

    Could an owner of an XJ1100 or any other XJ model equipped with a battery level sensor as shown in the photo tell me what the best solution is to adapt the sensor to a new original battery whose holes are not threaded?

    I think a 100 ohm resister will make the light go out. I think there is a link someplace on here that tells how to do it. I did it on one of my Secas, as the new battery is an AMG with no fill ports.

    Yes, I saw what you were talking about. It's a bypass. I was just wondering if any owners had ever tried tapping one of the battery holes to adapt the original sensor. Anyway, the thread on the sensor doesn't seem to be standard, so I might have no other choice but to file the thread to reduce the sensor's diameter to fit the battery hole.
