    Hey guys,

I just thought I'd let you know of a little tip for holding the rebound damper.
On this modelat least (xj600 1984) , the rear axle with the nut held in with a non portruding cotter pin can be used to hold the rebound damper. No long extensions, special tool or hardwear store bolts. The other end of the axle can be reached with a short extension found with your regular socket set.

Hope this spares someone else the misery of looking for a tool.

    Cheers! Michael
