    Hi. I have just bought a 1981 xj650h. I can’t seem to find much info on it. It looks like a maxim ?
    Im trying to find out if it uses a different frame from a normal xj650 ?
    Any info would b greatly appreciated

    Yes, that is the "Maxim". A cruiser style adaption of what we in the USA call the Seca. There are slight variations of the frames between the 2 and of course the styling. The Seca XJ650RJ have flatter handlebars a bigger, longer, less round gas tank, dual front disc brakes with different calipers and of course the much bigger headlight. Also an 18 inch rear wheel and tire with a different drum brake.
    Your have a rear luggage rack that is uncommon on Maxims, really handy but most do not have them. A nice piece to have.
