Hi streetmaster. Thanks! Nope that's all one-off. I fabbed up a bracket to mount the original speedo where the ignition used to be and I welded up the bars with .120 wall 7/8" DOM tubing.

What did you do for the rear fender? And did you modify the frame or just remove the shocks (if so, how is the ride?)

I can't find the right jet kit for my bike. I can find '81-'82 XJ750's or '80-'83 XJ650's, but not for the '83 XJ750. Does anyone know if one of those will work for me?

Hi smoke, I just welded up some struts to drop the bike, I cut the frame rails off that extended over the tire and I cut the original fender down to make it shorter. That's why the fender has those weird bumps on it from where the tail light was. It rides pretty rough since there's zero suspension on the back and the seat is shaved down to nothing. I wouldn't take it on a road trip but it's fun to ride short distances!

koolaid, I'm definitely not the one to ask about the jet kit. Maybe there's someone more knowledgeable here that could help?

Thanks. I'll be tearing the bike down and finishing it all this winter when it gets too cold to ride it . I'll post some pics of it.

Looks great, I have a 85 700. Don't you just hate the way the rear fenders shaped under the tail light?

Yeah, it's ugly all right! Not worried though. I'll be replacing it soon.

Love it! Awesome job. How are the pods working out for you? I have an xj700 as well + it came w/ pods instead of an airbox... i like the way they look too much, but i hear all the nightmare stories....
