XJ750 Engine locked

    Quick Update.....

    Stripped the motor right down today and inspected it. All looks good. Crank, main bearings, all other big ends. All have a nice normal look to them. I will be treating it to a full acid dip, rinse and clean over the coming weeks to ensure a clean and fresh re-assembly.

    So the spun bearing didn't score the crank? That's mighty lucky...

    Did you check to see if you can get replacement bearings? Hate to see you put all this work in and find out you can't get it back together.

    After that I'd take the crank and offending rod to a machine shop to have it measured - engines don't spin bearings for no reason.
