I know it's been awhile since you've posted an update, but i just have to resurrect this thread.

Great work, i plan on following your build closely as it is the BEST xj650 i've seen.

    Two questions: rear tire brand/size?

did you ever get the seat mounted? I've got a La Rosa on order and wouldn't mind some pics of how you've gone about mounting it, if this isn't to much to ask.

Again, great build, and i hope you don't mind me stealing some ideas from your build.

+1 on the seat. I LOVE it. I'm looking at their site now. Could you please post up some pics and a bit of a description on how you mounted it? I'm really digging the bare tank as well. I stripped my tank down last night, but it needs a few touch ups here and there, so leaving it bare is not an option for me :(

I sold the bike about a month ago. It cost me around 700 to build and had an offer of 1600 on it, so I took it. I have started building another bike. 76 KZ400 Kawasaki.

They are ebay filters and the jetting I followed from the sticky here about filter and exhaust changes.

I dont remember the rear tire brand and size, since it sold I cant get it. Let me check one other place where I might have it recorded. The seat I used angle iron and flat bar to mount. The mounts didnt turn out like I would have wanted them. It was a pain to get the seat on and off since the mounts were welded to the frame. I would have liked to made a bolt on mount that went on the seat with tabs on the frame.

That tire was a 130/90-16 C907 Cheng Shin tire.
