YICS Badge

    Interesting project. CAD file is near perfect, but you need a really tight printer to get that small of detail. Probably best to buy them from Chacal, but if anyone has a good printer (and good model painting skills) here are the files.

    Attempt number 2. Getting there with the printing. And apparently my once godlike plastic modeling skills have deteriorated along with my eyesight. Can do better, but on the other hand, this is not a big bucks restoration and these are down at ankle height.

    That really looks like it would print well in resin.

    Funny, I bought an additional (in case I screwed up) cam cover and TIG welded over the cast YICS then remilled the top flat and the grooves to make is smooth without the YICS logo.
    Black powdercoat and done. I did similar to the engine side covers and left the Yamaha. I like the clean look.

    Plastering YICS everywhere was the biggest faux pas Yamaha ever committed.
