How did you get here?

Maybe once a week (who am I kidding, 4-5 times a week) I google yamaha xj and nothing really ever came up... until today. I was starting to believe that I was the only person in the world that had one!

 

I searched for yamaha maxim xj 550 and it was at the top of the list

 

Greetings riders.

I bought the bike today, and after about an hour of Googling "1983 Yamaha XJ750 Midnight Maxim" and derivatives thereof, I finally used "1983 XJ750" and found XJBikes.com listed six from the top.

And here I am.

After perusing various threads over the last hour, XJBikes won my unbridled registration.

Searching google with Yamaha Seca, or maybe 1982 Yamaha Seca or XJ750 - it's been awhile ago. I also had to page through a lot of useless crap, but this is still the most and BEST info I have found! KUDOS & THANKS!

 

Came acrossed xjbikes.com through a google search for "1982 XJ 650"
So glad I found this site. Already have found usefull information. Keep up the good work.

 

Had fuel issues with my XJ650Rj.
Googled "xj650 petcock" and found this site.
I am so glad I did.
This place is an XJ owners dream.
As these rides age they need work and this is the place to find the answers.

As it did for many others, XJBikes.com came up when I did a search for 1982 Maxim XJ750J. Very glad it did since it looks like it's going to be a great resource.

Just bought an '83 Seca 750 full dresser, previous owner broke the fairing windshield. Did a google search for Yamaha Seca 750 fairing windshield or something of the like, and came up with an entire thread here just about replacement windshields for these older bikes! Also, since I found this site but before I joined, just about every search pertaining to the bike I tried, XJ bikes came up. Cannot believe the amount of good, thorough information here, so glad I found it!

Bought xj550 and googled some info about the bike and foud this site. Looks like I did hit vein of gold here

 

I came across it the same way as most everybody else. I was googleing parts and I would always see links to the threads where people were talking about things pertaining to my search. I am really happy I did find it because there are alot of cool people here and alot of knowledge to be shared!

I was specifically looking for a forum on Maxims to do my homework before buying one and found this site. I look forward being a part of this community.

 

Guy at work pointed me this way I was looking for a road bike (off road exp. in past) and wanted something that is easy to work on and I can get information on without spending all day looking up the proper spark plug gap. So I logged on and new then that this was a great asset So I went out and bought one , so I am here now.

 

I had a wanted ad in Toronto and one of the guys sent me here to try. Been here ever since. Doing a lot of reading and learning at the same time. The best site for xj.

 

Basicly the same sh!t as most peeps! I went 2 google. Typed in 1982 Yamaha XJ750 SECA sites/forums. N I found this "Site"! N I'm glad I found this place! :twisted:

I got here by following links from a Yahoo search for "1985 yamaha maxim xj700x seat" I think this was on the 3rd page of results.

Persistence paid off.

Also, maybe the Omex guys mentioned y'all when I ordered new mufflers and cones.
