    3 years ago I bought an XJ650 Turbo.

    Used to have one many years ago, loved it and found a great condition one a few years back and nostalgia etc.

    I got teh dreaded stuck in first gear problem and decided its a keeper so lets get it fixed.

    I found Len, we emailed back and forth and I bought about $2000 worth of parts then another £600 in shipping and insurance and got teh parts and mechanic stripped and rebuilt bike.

    Mechanic screwed up and blew a con rod.
    Cue months of working out what to do and I got another mechanic, who knows what he is doing to put her back together.

    So, after 2.5 years of workshop a shed load of money and lots of emails back and further to Len, my Turbo is up and running sweet as a nut, you can see her on my YouTube channel enjoying herself around the English countryside and that is down in no small part to Len.

    I would like to say a big personal thank you for so much help, I wish I could do it in person, but will do it here, without folk like Len, old classic bikes would just be scrapped and without Len in particular this Xj650 Turbo would not lived again like she is.

    Thank you Len!!

    Jonty is an exceptional stick-to-it type of guy and put an incredible amount of time & effort into locating, purchasing, and restoring this jewel. And he and I both learned a valuable lesson: do not EVER send anything to a UK business address (or even include a business name in the address field) as you (and your package!) will be thrust into the 8th Circle of Hell from which you/it may well never be recovered from......

    And for those keeping score at home: Euro/UK XJ650 Turbo bikes are an 11N model ID, not the more common 16G / 16H models here in North America (17Y in Japan, but never seen one of those......except the Yu Tanaka bike shown here):

    )

    And don't let the XJ750-D model fool you for even a moment....it's not a turbo bike:

    But it is fuel-injected.....
