I sent a quote request late Sunday night, figuring I could check in on Monday.

Len (Chacal) sent me the quote before I had a chance to log out! So I sent in my order, and he acknowledged it ... well after midnight!

Parts shipped out of Atlanta first thing Monday AM and got to me in Chicago on Wednesday.

A few weeks ago, I ordered Len's oil filter spin-on kit as well as new rubber seals for my tach gear drive, to solve leaks I was having from both places after I was in an accident.

I had never worked on a car, let alone my first motorcycle before, so I didn't have many tools, but the instructions were spot-on, no grey areas to get confused with. The union bolt part of the filtration system gave me a few hours of frustration because my wrench wasn't large enough—of course Len had warned of that in his instructions.

In the end, I have the best oil filtration system I could get, and no leaks. Very pleased with that.

I'm now in the process of ordering a new starter button, along with parts for replacing my speedo cable, and I predict being, once again, a very happy customer when that arrives.

Len's business is one of the most aptly named I've ever come across. XJ4EVER, indeed.

I didn't think I'd be able to find that "standing handle" anywhere. Your "decent condition used" left-side unit was in better condition than my right-side match. Excellent follow-up communication and super-fast on the shipping.

You can bet that I'll be contacting you in regards to a spin-on filter upgrade, with a likely oil-cooler addition, in the near future.

The shipping has always been quick, but this time I wanted it to be really quick so I opted for the faster shipping and it was really quick!!

Normally I receive my parts on Wednesday mornings but this week we had idiots abound that slowed down the mail service. The American Airlines computer failure (not so much idiots as technical I hope), terrible bombings in Boston (idiots), ricin in the US Mail (idiot).

Excellent deal once again. Got the seals I needed for the tach drive incredibly quickly...and the Yamaha emblems for the tank are perfect. I'm keeping them for an eventual repaint of the project.

Couldn't be happier.

 

Len comes through again. Ordered a fuel valve rebuild kit. Came in about 10 days. Not bad for the far North. My son and I rebuilt the fuel valve and installed it. Gassed up, and wow no leaks. Started up, sound great. Now one more afternoon of work and RIDE.

This has been another great experience working with Chacal, can't say enough for how professional/reliable he is. Parts ordered Sunday evening, shipped Monday and arrived Wednesday.

 

I emailed Chacal last week(before even having an account here) but have been trolling the forums for a few years. He responded very quickly and had my parts out the same day. Ordered the port blanking tool and a spare set of rubber seals for it. Its a very nice looking tool I was impressed to say the least. Even arrived a few days earlier than expected as well.

 

I've been ordering from xj4ever for the past 5 years, everytime is an absolute delight. One on one help, fast service and fast shipping! Two days from ga to pa. The parts are top quality and my bike wouldn't be in as good shape without Len's service! Will be ordering again!

 

Contacted Chacal again a week ago Sunday(16th) afternoon, he responded back within an hour. I honestly was not even expecting to hear back till Monday some time. I needed to order some replacement float needles/seats as my rubber tipped ones had died. After looking over the options I had a few questions regarding the all metal needles versus the more stock like rubber tipped ones. He was quick to respond to my concerns and clarified everything for me. Had my order shipped out Monday and I was back on the road by Wednesday. All metal needles are working great and now I do not have to concern myself over the E-10/E-15 fuels chewing up my needles again. Now just to work on fixing up the rest of the system for it(non E rated gas is not available in my area).

 

As always Len, quick service & great parts. Old girl is back up & screaming as good as ever. Thanks again.

The new grips from XJ4ever were just what I needed to bring my Maxim into the 21st century. Fast service time and time again, thanks for everything.

 

Ordered some more parts from XJ4ever, this time seals for the carb butterfly shafts. Picked up replacement e-clips, fuel o-rings, butterfly screws, silicone grease, and idle mixture caps. Everything showed up extremely quickly and Len even went above and beyond checking into some things for me not related to an XJ bike even(still a yamaha maxim though).

Well ordered some more parts form chacal after the 5 local shops couldn't prove the correct parts. Just some simple spark plug caps. Well Chacal came through again. I probably wasted at least 20$ in gas going all around town when thats about how much they cost from chacal. Ordered them. And got a quick email response saying there on the way. Couple days later had the parts. Thank you again.

hey all, i've been gone a while as the bike has been issue-free for some time and i've other projects in the fire (don't we all?). anyways....i call Len today to discuss my starter issues and after spending considerable time on the phone with me, we diagnose a dead solenoid.
i'm pretty sure i could order the part from many places but who would accept 3 phone calls from me as we work thru the diagnostics (and did a little mig welding along the way...sparks!)?
Len is as steady as they get, always there to help, ready with the part i need.
