Well, he's sort of stuckfor this season. He insists on doing a total resto on it, rather than just "get it running" and so there you have it. (I probably woulda done the same thing!!) Maybe next year......

I just had a similar experience; ordered a grunch of parts, one of them being a brake switch. Went to reassemble the master cylinder, something didn't look right. Sent pics to illustrate the problem, and asked what I might be doing wrong. Next thing I know, he overnighted the correct switch, despite my assurances that I could wait a few days.

    That's Len for you.

Thanks guys for your patience and understanding when we make the inevitable "small or big mistake" on this end..........I'll always stand behind and take responsibility for our mess-ups and try to straighten them out quickly and fairly!

I sent Chacal an email late last week asking about the bolt/valve assembly for the oil filter unit. He sent me back a complete list of OEM and aftermarket parts. I highly recommend going with the aftermarket bolt/valve because the bolt head is larger than stock, and I was starting to strip the hell out of the bold head trying to get the dang thing off.

Placed an order Saturday evening and the parts were sitting in my mail box today. Thank you so much, you've got yourself a new loyal customer!

I'd rebuilt my xj550 carbs and found out the PO's jetting was wrong. Ordered carb parts from xj4ever were reasonable and arrived fast. Great customer service.

    Rescue-party Chacal

Recently I wanted to repair my front fork and after I had disassembled it I discovered the inner fork tube slide bushings were in a very bad shape and had to be replaced with new ones. Bad luck for me but those parts are not on Yamaha’s parts list and are apparently not for resale because no workshop in the local neighborhood could deliver them.

For me there was only one alternative left and that was to send an e-mail to Chacal with the question if he could help me out and he could with a fork rebuild kit which contains both metal slide rings for the (upper) inner fork tube and the (lower) outer fork tube.

I ordered all the parts I needed to rebuild the front fork, paid with PayPal and within a week I received my order. I reassembled my front fork with the new parts and they all fitted like a glove.

    Thank you Rescue-party Chacal
